How to Apply to an On-Campus Program

Within the AAP application, you will be asked to indicate your interest in an On-Campus Program and your preferred starting term. The combination of these two factors within the application help to determine the timeframes during which you may receive an admissions decision. Fall and Spring Terms both include 3 rounds of application deadlines and review periods. These rounds are known as Early Action, Regular Decision, and Extended Consideration. The Summer Term follows a Rolling Admission model detailed below.

Early Action

This round is the first opportunity for an applicant to secure a spot within an On-Campus Program. All candidates who have met the Admissions Criteria and submitted a complete application by the Early Action Application Deadline, including all of the required supporting documents and the application fee, will be reviewed as a group. Admissions decisions from this round will be electronically released as a group, approximately two months following this application deadline.

Students offered Early Action admission into their On-Campus Program will have approximately 3 weeks to submit a non-refundable $2,000 USD deposit to secure their seat as a part of the process to accept their offer of admission. These funds will be applied toward the first semester’s tuition.

Applicants who submitted their materials in time to be reviewed during the Early Action round, but did not receive an electronic notification of their decision, remain under consideration for the remaining seats available in future rounds. No additional application should be submitted.

Regular Decision

This round is the second opportunity for an applicant to secure a spot within an On-Campus Program. All candidates who have met the Admissions Criteria and submitted all required application materials between the Early Action and the Regular Decision Application Deadlines, will be reviewed as a group. Admissions decisions from this round will be electronically released as a group, approximately one-to-two months following this application deadline.

Students offered Regular Decision admission into their On-Campus Program will have approximately 3 weeks to submit a non-refundable $2,000 USD deposit to secure their seat as a part of the process to accept their offer of admission. These funds will be applied toward the first semester’s tuition.

Applicants who submitted their materials in time to be reviewed during the Regular Decision round, but did not receive an electronic notification of their decision, remain under consideration for the remaining seats available in the final round. No additional application should be submitted.

Extended Consideration

This round is the final period during which an applicant can secure a spot within an On-Campus Program’s specific term start. All candidates who have met the Admissions Criteria and submitted all required application materials after the Regular Decision Application Deadline, will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Admissions decisions from this round will be electronically released individually and on a rolling basis, following the final Decision Release date and until the term begins or the program is at capacity.

On-Campus Program students offered admission during the Extended Consideration period will have approximately 3 weeks to submit a non-refundable $2,000 USD deposit to secure their seat as a part of the process to accept their offer of admission. These funds will be applied toward the first semester’s tuition.

Rolling Admission Model

During the Summer Term, On-Campus Programs follow a Rolling Admission model. This means that any candidate who meets the Admissions Criteria and has submitted a complete application, including all of the required supporting documents and the application fee, will be reviewed individually. Any admissions decision will be electronically released individually, following that application’s review.

Students offered admission into their On-Campus Program will have approximately 3 weeks to submit a non-refundable $2,000 USD deposit to secure their seat as a part of the process to accept their offer of admission. These funds will be applied toward the first semester’s tuition.

Regarding Student Visa Support

International students are encouraged to double-check that their preferred program supports a visa. Visa-seeking students are able to begin in the Fall and Spring terms exclusively. And it is strongly recommended that these applicants target the Early Action or Regular Decision review rounds in order to maximize the probability that a seat can be secured.

If your original application indicated you wished to study an Online Program, however you now wish to obtain a visa and study On Campus, you will need to reapply to your preferred master’s degree program.
