International Student Welcome

This friendly welcome to the JHU community invites you to explore your new academic surroundings with your peers. This is not a replacement for the New Student Orientation event.

Held in Baltimore, Maryland, you will join students from around the world as you explore Homewood Campus, get advice from current international students, pick-up your physical J-Card, and check out official JHU merchandise at the bookstore.

If you are based in Washington, D.C., a bus will be provided for you to travel from Hopkins Bloomberg Center to Baltimore for the event. Please fully complete the registration process to reserve your roundtrip seat on the bus.

New Student Orientation

Join us for New Student Orientation and…

  • Meet fellow graduate students as well as AAP staff and faculty members
  • Receive an overview of Johns Hopkins University and AAP
  • Learn about the resources and support services available to you
  • Get an overview of the academic expectations and opportunities
  • Obtain guidance on various administrative processes and procedures

In order to register for orientation, you will need to activate your Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED) ID and set up your JHU email. Please register for one of the Fall 2026 New Student Orientation sessions below:
