Each war bride’s experience was unique. Some were welcomed while others were vilified. Some marriages stood the test of time while others crumbled. All represent bravery, hope, and resilience. Each year, many war brides gather for an annual reunion to reflect on their shared experiences, see old friends, and remember the love that led them to their new lives in America.
