Dr. Abrahao completed her Ph.D. In biological sciences with emphasis in cellular immunology in 2004. She worked for 7 years investigating mechanisms involved in redox signaling in aortic smooth muscle cells. After 6 years teaching at Georgia State University Perimeter College, she accepted a position in 2023 as Assistant Professor in the Medical Sciences Graduate Program at Agnes Scott College, Georgia. She was hired by JHU as an adjunct lecturer in 2023.
