At Johns Hopkins, Tanesha Morgan is a lecturer in the MA in Public Management program.

With professional experience that spans both the public and private sectors, Morgan began her career as an investment consultant in the private sector. This experience gave her an in-depth knowledge of retirement planning, investment tools, risk assessment, and strategic planning. After deciding that she was better suited for a career in public finance service, she began a career in state government. She has held positions as a Budget Director, Grant Manager, Statistician, and Financial Analyst.

Morgan earned a PhD in Public Policy from Southern University and an MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University. She also holds a MEd from American College of Education, a MSHA from the University of Saint Francis, a MS in Data Analytics from Eastern University, and a BS in Finance from Southeastern Louisiana University. Morgan also has graduate certificates in Finance and Data Science.
