Sijung Yun received B.S. in Physics from Seoul National University and received his Ph.D. in biophysics from Boston University. In addition to teaching a bioinformatics course at Johns Hopkins, he is a faculty member at FAES (National Institutes of Health graduate school) where he has taught bioinformatics to more than 1,000 post doctoral students over the last 10 years in Bethesda, Maryland. Sijung has numerous publications such as microRNA analytics and next generation sequencing data preparation steps, and single-cell RNA sequencing analytics. Sijung also has various provisional patents on bioinformatics pipelines associated with machine learning algorithms.
