Shawn Sapp-Nocher

Shawn Nocher graduated from St Marys College of Maryland and the MA in Writing program at Johns Hopkins (2020). Her short stories and non-fiction have appeared in SmokeLong Quarterly, Pithead Chapel, MoonPark Review, Electric Literature, Writers Digest, and others. She has published two novels, A Hand to Hold in Deep Water (Blackstone Publishing 2021) and The Precious Jules (Blackstone Publishing, 2022). She is the co-founder of Love In The Trenches (LITT), a non-profit organization that supports parents and families of those suffering from the disease of addiction and works to erase the shame and stigma of Substance Use Disorder. She has given wings to two children and splits her time between Baltimore, Maryland, and Bethany Beach, Delaware, where she lives with her husband and an assortment of sassy rescue animals.
