Misha Robyn
Lecturer
At Johns Hopkins, Misha Robyn, DVM, MPH, DACVPM, serves as a lecturer in the MS in Regulatory Science program where she shares her expertise as a veterinarian and epidemiologist. She currently serves at the Center for Disease Control as a Team Lead for the Prevention, Evaluation, and Analysis Team focusing on preventing foodborne illnesses and outbreaks.
In addition to her work in regulatory veterinary medicine, Robyn has worked in food safety for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. In her roles as a Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian, an Enforcement, Investigation Analysis Officer, and a Frontline Supervisor, she covered regulated facilities in Brooklyn and Queens, New York. She also worked as a food safety consultant for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization. As a CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the New York State Department of Health, she has consulted on a breadth of public health topics, including healthcare-associated infections, foodborne illnesses, and zoonotic diseases. She also served in epidemiology and infection control deployments in West Africa for Ebola.
Robyn earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine, a master’s degree in public health, and a certificate in international veterinary medicine at Tufts University and is board certified in veterinary preventive medicine.
