Meg Duff

At Johns Hopkins, Meg Duff serves as a lecturer in the MA in Science Writing program. A freelance reporter working in writing and audio, Duff covers climate change and anything tangentially related, which turns out to be most things.

Her writing appears in Slate, MIT Technology Review, Capital & Main, Al Jazeera (English), Business Insider, Live Science, Yale Climate Connections, Sojourners, Quartz, KneeDeep Times, Skylight, Fifty Grande, Chemical Watch News & Insight and more.

She has reported narrative podcasts for Scientific American, Outside Podcast and Drilled and hosted a summer radio show for KDLG, an NPR member station in Dillingham, Alaska. She fact checks for clients like Open Mind Magazine, Popular Mechanics and FACTUAL.

Duff came to journalism after a career change, earning an MFA in Literary Reportage from New York University in 2022.
