Marcus Harshaw is a Lecturer in the Johns Hopkins University Museum Studies Program teaching Introduction to Museum Education. Mr. Harshaw also works as Carnegie Science Center’s Senior Director of Museum Experiences. He is a dynamic leader passionate about creating unique, memorable experiences that inspire everyone to make positive change in themselves and their world. Currently, he leads Carnegie’s exhibits, featured experiences, camps and classes, and museum engagement in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Harshaw has worked in museums from frontline roles to executive leadership in museum education, exhibits, and evaluation departments in Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, and Winston-Salem, NC, and now Pittsburgh, PA. His work has ranged from designing and implementing an institutional evaluation policy to finding ways to increase earned income to working to create a seamless museum guest experience across multiple sites.

Mr. Harshaw is an alumnus of the Johns Hopkins University’s Museum Studies Program, and earned a B.A. from Northern Kentucky University in history with areas of concentration in the early American republic, and ancient civilizations.
