Laura Rodini
Lecturer
Laura Rodini is a lecturer in the Communication and Museum Studies programs.
As founder of Paisley Green, LLC, a boutique marketing and PR firm serving nonprofit and small businesses in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area since 2011, Rodini’s strategic marketing, public relations, fundraising, and graphic design services have enabled clients to get press, grow audiences, and generate critically needed operating funds. For example, her crowdfunding campaigns have raised income for Community Law Center, which provides direct legal representation for disinvested neighborhoods in Baltimore. She has secured client placements in national and international media outlets such as The New York Times, on CNN, and in the Washington Post, but her favorite projects are what she calls “Guerilla PR” efforts for grassroots organizations: She recently generated print and TV coverage for Raw Hope of Humanity, an artist coalition seeking to fight racial inequality through public dialogue in Washington, D.C.
A writer, teacher, entrepreneur, and adventurer, Rodini has written more than 100 destination, luxury hotel and neighborhood guides for Fodor’s Travel, TripAdvisor, and Northstar Travel Media, and her content is licensed by Travel Weekly, Yahoo!, and USA Today. Rodini received her MA in English Literature from the University of New Hampshire and a BA from Providence College.
