Dr. Kelsey L. Larsen conducts interdisciplinary policy research on the intersection of stress, trauma, and political decision-making, with a focus on combat experiences and veterans’ political participation. She has taught on these and related social science methodology topics at Georgetown University, James Madison University, and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, in addition to prior work with organizations including the Institute for Women, Peace and Security; the European Union; and the U.S. Department of State.

Kelsey earned her Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University, and holds an MA in Government from Georgetown, an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a BS in Political Science from The University of Iowa.
