Kathryn Gamble

Kathryn Gamble’s career in nonprofits has spanned more than 30 years. She launched her successful fundraising career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At Saint Mary’s School (Raleigh, NC) and East Carolina University, Kathryn held executive leadership positions leading the advancement functions at both institutions and serving as a member of the respective executive leadership teams. During her tenure at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Kathryn led and managed a successful $50.6 million campaign.
Over her career, Kathryn has worked extensively with governing boards providing her the opportunity to observe “the good and the bad.” This ultimately led to her pursuing her doctorate in public administration from North Carolina State University. Her doctoral research focused on nonprofit board governance examining the effects of CEO power and multiple boards on governing board role fulfillment.
Currently, Kathryn is vice president of Gail Perry Group, a national fundraising consulting firm working with nonprofits in diverse mission areas. In this role, Kathryn works with nonprofit boards and executive leadership to provide optimal solutions in the area of philanthropic management.
Kathryn is member of the Association of Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
