Arlene Tressler

At Johns Hopkins, Arlene Tressler is a lecturer in the Master of Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship program where she draws on more than 25 years of global experience helping leaders and organizations navigate complexity, build capability, and deliver sustainable results as an organizational change and transformation strategist, executive coach, thought leader and entrepreneur.

As Founder and CEO of Metanoia Consultants, an award-winning global consulting firm, she advises multinational corporations, government organizations, and executive teams across more than 15 countries on organizational change, leadership strategy, executive coaching, innovation, and building high-performance teams. Her career includes senior human capital and executive leadership roles with FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 organizations, including Royal & Sun Alliance and Motorola, where she developed deep insight into the organizational, cultural, and behavioral factors that influence business performance. She has led enterprise-wide change initiatives, designed executive education programs, coached senior leaders, and developed frameworks that help organizations respond effectively to disruption, evolving markets, and complex business environments. Tressler’s experience working with financial institutions, government organizations, and global corporations provides valuable perspective on leading change in highly regulated environments where innovation, governance, strategic decision-making, and execution are essential. Her work bridges the connection between strategy, people, and organizational performance.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with people. She integrates behavioral science, organizational research, executive practice, and reflective learning to create engaging and intellectually rigorous learning experiences. Tressler holds a master’s degree in sociology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She has further enhanced her expertise through executive education at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She is a Certified Executive Coach, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Psychometric Assessor accredited by the British Psychological Society.

An accomplished keynote speaker, author, poet, lyricist, and gospel recording artist who has performed at Carnegie Hall, Tressler brings a unique blend of analytical insight and creative expression to her work.
