Adam Chambers
Lecturer
At Johns Hopkins, Adam Chambers is a lecturer in the Master of Liberal Arts program.
Chambers’ research explores the intersections between literature, philosophy, and film, with a particular emphasis on studies of the novel, global modernisms, continental philosophy, existentialism, and world literature. These interests were also central to his doctoral dissertation at the University of Amsterdam, titled, “Minor Moments in Modern Literature and Film” (2024).
A native of Canada, Chambers taught previously at the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam University College, Prince George’s Community College, and American University. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Amsterdam, an MPhil from Memorial University, and a BA from McGill University.
