Christopher Kromphardt

At Johns Hopkins, Christopher Kromphardt is the Assistant Program Director and lecturer for the MS in Data Analytics and Policy program.

Kromphardt’s research focuses on how citizens view the performance and legitimacy of judicial institutions, how judicial institutions make decisions, and the design and evaluation of experiential learning activities. Kromphardt has published in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Journal of Information Technology & Politics, Journal of Law and Courts, Justice System Journal, and Marquette University Law Review, among other outlets. His research has been cited in a report by the Project on Government Oversight to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States and in an amicus curiae brief from the Association of American Medical Colleges in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard. His writing for public audiences has appeared in Slate and The Washington Post.

Kromphardt has taught courses on public policy, research methods and research design, constitutional law, and American politics.

Kromphardt received his PhD from the University of Alabama in Political Science.
