In this conversation with Dr. Collin Paschall, Director of the Data Analytics and Policy program, Dr. Waggoner will share with the audience about his professional journey as a social scientist and into survey research and his other areas of professional interest. He will provide his insights into how to build a career in data science and analytics, and his perspective on emerging technologies and trends in the field.

Philip Waggoner is the Director of Data Science at YouGov America, a research scholar at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy at Columbia University, and also a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the Johns Hopkins University Data Analytics and Policy program. Dr. Waggoner’s scholarship has been published in outlets such Computational Statistics, Journal of Politics, and Journal of Computational Social Science.
