At Johns Hopkins, Terri Davis is a lecturer for the MA in Communication program.

Davis has an extensive mediated communications background, working with corporations such as ABC Radio, PBS licensed television stations, and a Viacom subsidiary. A communication and critical/cultural scholar with specific research interests that lie at the intersection of intercultural communication, communication activism, and social justice, Davis has presented her research at conferences throughout the United States and has taught at American University and Howard University.

She earned a Master of Business Administration and a PhD in communication, culture, and media studies from Howard University. Her dissertation centered on voices of resistance utilizing the counter-storytelling tenet of critical race theory.
