At Johns Hopkins, Sima Siami-Namini is a lecturer for the MS in Applied Economics program.

Siami-Namini has experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, statistics, and finance. Her research interests include macroeconomics, monetary policy, time series analysis, econometrics, statistical analysis, data visualization, and applied machine learning and AI. She has published numerous research articles and conference papers.

Siami-Namini received her PhD degree in Applied Economics with a minor in Statistics and her master’s degree in Statistics from Texas Tech University in 2020 and 2022, respectively. She also obtained her master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Machine Learning from the University of North Texas in 2023.
