Salem Abo-Zaid is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. His main research interests are in monetary policy, fiscal policy, business cycles and macroeconomics more generally. His work was published in journals such as the European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Dynamics & Control, Economic Inquiry and Macroeconomic Dynamics. Salem has an experience in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. These include core courses as well as advanced courses in macroeconomics. Since 2018, Salem has been serving as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Money, Credit & Banking. Salem was previously an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland-College Park.
