At Johns Hopkins, Roshan Noorzai is a lecturer for the MA in Communication program.

In addition to teaching in the MA in Communication program at Johns Hopkins University, Roshan Noorzai, PhD, serves as a Multimedia Journalist at Voice of America (VOA), the largest U.S. international broadcaster. Prior to joining VOA, he served as an Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at the American University of Sharjah, UAE, where he taught courses in Journalism and Media Studies. He has also worked as Public Information Officer with the United Nations and USAID in Afghanistan.

Roshan earned his PhD in Mass Communication from Ohio University. His dissertation focused on the role of media in the framing of the Afghan conflict. His areas of research interests include news framing, media and conflict, social media, and information and communication technologies for social change.
