Musa Orak is an Economist in the Advanced Foreign Economies Section of the Division of International Finance at the Federal Reserve Board. Previously, he was an Associate at the Turkish Treasury and a Researcher at the Central Bank of Turkey. During his graduate studies, he was an instructor of Macroeconomic Theory classes both at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Pepperdine University. His research interests cover various topics in macroeconomics, particularly labor market issues such as labor share, income and wealth inequality, and job polarization. Currently, his research focuses on the drivers of inflation in advanced economies.

He received his PhD from UCLA.
