Michele Pfannenstiel

At Johns Hopkins, Michele Pfannenstiel is a senior lecturer for the MS in Food Safety Regulation program.
Pfannenstiel has worked in regulatory medicine as an entrepreneur since leaving her post in the U.S. Army, where she did food inspection and military working dog medicine and oversaw the U.S. Military Mascot Mule Program. She combines regulatory work and life, trauma, and business coaching to create stronger and more profitable food businesses that nourish communities. She is the CEO of Dirigo Food Safety and serves food enterprises up and down the value chain through her Food Safety University family of products.
Pfannenstiel is a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
