Melissa Hilbish

At Johns Hopkins, Melissa Hilbish serves as a lecturer in the Master of Liberal Arts program, a program that she directed for 18 years until her 2016 retirement.

An educator at the undergraduate, graduate, and non-credit levels since 1982, Hilbish’s teaching interests include history, literature (dystopian literature), film (film noir, science fiction), and general interdisciplinary studies. She holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Maryland.
