Mariah Bayless Davis

At Johns Hopkins, Mariah Bayless Davis serves as a lecturer in the MA in Communication program where she teaches risk and crisis communication. A licensed attorney and seasoned communications professional, she brings over a decade of experience in intellectual property law, brand management, public relations, and sports communications, with past roles at the PGA Tour, Creative Artists Agency, New England Patriots, and Harvard University.
Bayless Davis currently serves as HR Compliance Lead at [solidcore], overseeing policy development and regulatory compliance, with a focus on risk management and mitigation strategies in HR practices.
She holds a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law, a BA from Boston University, and additional legal certifications from the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University. Her published research explores the intersection of sports, law, technology, and bioethics, examining how emerging technologies impact athlete rights, data privacy, and ethical decision-making in sports.
