Kristin Hocevar

Kristin Hocevar received her PhD and MA in Communication from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her BA (magna cum laude) from Connecticut College. She has worked in television, documentary film, and web production for multiple Public Broadcasting Service stations and affiliated organizations, including WGBH’s Antiques Roadshow and ITVS.

Additionally, Dr. Hocevar has worked in communication for the United States Navy and taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level for public universities in California and Oregon. She has conducted research both internationally and within the US, and her current research examines topics related to online health information, crisis communication, and quantitative methods and measures.
