Kenneth Becker

Kenneth Becker is Branch Chief at USDA and is responsible for the Country-of-Origin Labeling regulation and the Bioengineered Food Disclosure Labeling Standard. Kenneth grew up on a 3rd-generation dairy farm in NY, earned a BS from Cornell in agriculture, and farmed in partnership with his parents. After earning an MA in international administration, he has consulted on food and ag projects in Egypt, Russia, Jamaica, and Honduras. Kenneth’s doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy Studies is from the University of Vermont. Between degrees, he served as Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture in Vermont, as Executive Director of the Northeast Dairy Compact Commission, and Co-Director of the MPA at UVM.
