Julian Teixeira is a Senior Vice President at GMMB, where he serves as a strategic communications leader with in-depth subject specialization in health care, education, civil rights, voting, the environment and the Latino market/consumer.

Prior to joining GMMB he was Vice President of marketing and communications at Power to Decide where he directed the organization’s overall marketing, communications and media relations efforts and strategy.

As Vice President, he was hired to create the first integrated communications department, merging existing digital activities into the communication and marketing functions, as well as integrating the organization’s entertainment media work into a newly created media relations division.

Prior to joining Power to Decide, he served as the Senior Director of Communications at UnidosUS. As the head of the communications department for the largest Hispanic civic rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., he was responsible for all of the organization’s communications activities from traditional media relations, digital communications, web, and editorial functions.

Before joining UnidosUS, Julian was Vice President, Media Relations at Zeno Group, where he was responsible for much of the firm’s media relations activities. His duties also included providing counsel on crisis management issues, product launches and recalls, building brand awareness, and consumer and media awareness campaigns. He also served as the head of Zeno’s ethnic marketing initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master’s in Business Administration both from the University of Maryland at College Park.
