At Johns Hopkins, Christopher Whyte is a lecturer for the MS in Organizational Leadership program, teaching Ethics, Integrity, and the Responsibility of Leaders, Leadership and Organizational Behavior, and Crisis Mitigation.

Whyte is an interdisciplinary scholar who conducts research at the intersections of leadership, theology, philosophy, and ethics. He has investigated historical instances in which religious communities have resisted and responded to oppression and ideological corruption. Whyte is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and formerly worked as a project engineer, secondary school teacher, and pastor.

Whyte holds a PhD in Divinity and a Master of Letters in Analytic Theology from the University of St. Andrews, a Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership from Life Pacific University, and a Bachelor of Science in History from the United States Naval Academy.
