At Johns Hopkins, Christopher Day serves as a lecturer in the MS in Energy Policy and Climate program.

An international energy professional with a passion for tackling the most important and intractable energy problems, Day has worked in investment banking, consulting, academia, and government service. As a Senior Director in litigation consulting, he opined on very large energy projects around the world and has been an energy consultant to the World Bank in Africa.

Day led a team of intelligence analysts responsible for briefing the Secretary of Energy while working with the US Department of Energy, Office of Intelligence. Following his appointment by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, he served as the Intelligence Community’s Lead Topic Expert for Energy.

Prior to his government service, Day worked as the Vice President of Energy Mergers & Acquisitions for ABN AMRO Investment Bank in London and was an energy developer with Enron in Houston, London, and Brazil. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Costa Rica.

Day holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MA from Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies, and a BA from Georgetown University. He enjoys tennis, guitar, and woodworking.
