I am a master teacher who works with students and teachers to maximize learning and instruction. For the past 16 years, I have worked tirelessly to improve the educational experiences of students in Southern Arizona. From 2012 to 2016, I served as the co-director for the Southern Arizona Writing Project and co-facilitated the Invitational Summer Institute from 2013 to 2016. It is with the Southern Arizona Writing Project, that I began working with the National Writing Project on an I3 grant, which developed C3WP (College, Career, and Community Writers Program). I served on the Leadership Team for C3WP as a thinking partner with other Writing Projects to facilitate professional development focused on argument writing in high need schools.
I hold a MA in Education and currently I am a doctoral candidate working toward a Doctor of Arts in English Pedagogy & Technology specializing in Writing. I am very interested in cross-curricular literacy and believe that all teachers are writing teachers.
