Dr. Spinard recently retired from Ernst & Young, LLP where he was an Executive Director and one of the leaders in their insurance risk management practice. For the past 30 years he has been a consultant on risk management issues with a primary focus on the financial services industry. During this time he designed and managed a number of complex projects the areas of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), risk quantification and economic capital, operational risk, and corporate governance.
Dr. Spinard holds an MBA and a PhD in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches graduate courses in risk management for Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University and George Washington University.
