Arman Kanooni has a PhD from the Capella University in the School of Business and Technology with Information Technology Management Specialization. He obtained his Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Athabasca in Alberta, Canada and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He speaks English, French, and Persian fluently.

Dr. Kanooni has 25 years of experience as an Information Systems/Information Technology professional working for small companies, federal government, and fortune 500 corporations in various capacities such as systems analyst, systems architect, data architect, systems integration architect, consultant, and enterprise information architect. He has extensive qualifications in the total project life cycle including the architecture, analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems.

He assisted in the development of the strategy and the architecture framework for an enterprise wide data warehouse and business intelligence systems. He worked with many major IT vendors and industry experts in the “blue printing” efforts to select appropriate data warehouse platform, the ETL tool, the data quality tools, the metadata management tool, the business intelligence tools, and the data mining and advanced analytics.

He was the lead DW/BI architect for the development of an enterprise wide big data lake/data warehouse using new ETL, Data Profiling, Data Quality, Metadata and BI tools, methods and techniques in accordance with the organization’s business goals and mission. He was also involved in the development of BI Competency Center to help projects to jump start their Decision Support System and BI solutions. He has taught for both on the ground and the online colleges and universities in Canada and U.S.A. for many years and mentored adult learners through their degree programs.
