Alan Rosenblatt

Alan Rosenblatt, PhD, is a digital and social media strategist, organizer, professor and thought leader with over 30 years’ experience. He is a Partner at Unfiltered.Media, a leading-edge digital organizing firm. Alan advises progressive organizations, candidates (including the Biden 2020 campaign), media outlets, governments, international organizations, and socially responsible companies to more effectively influence public affairs, policy, and elections. Alan’s preference is to build sustainable, enterprise digital and social media programs that clients can use to build long-term power, as well as win short-term battles.
Alan is also a Partner at Turner4D, leading its Digital and Social Media Strategy Practice, and is a professor at several universities teaching digital politics courses. Previously, Alan served as Director of Digital Research at Lake Research Partners, a top Democratic opinion research firm, providing social listening opinion research services (2016-2020). From 2007-2013, he designed, created, and managed the Center for American Progress’s enterprise social media program as its Associate Director of Online Advocacy.
Among his many firsts, Alan taught the world’s first college course on digital/social media politics at George Mason University in 1995. Alan is a frequent public speaker and has trained about 20,000 politicians, organizers, and activists around the world in the arts of digital and social media strategy, including members of Congress, Arab Spring organizers, and two future kings. Alan has a PhD from American University, an MA from Boston College in Political Science, and BA in Political Science and Philosophy from Tufts University.
