We invite everyone to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of our spring 2025 graduates, as well as our summer and fall 2024 graduates.

If you plan to participate in the 2025 KSAS Master’s Graduation Ceremony, please review these details to fully prepare and enjoy partaking in this momentous event.

Before the Ceremony

  • In order to participate in the KSAS Master’s Graduation Ceremony, please be sure to apply to graduate.
  • You will be required to wear JHU regalia during the in-person graduation ceremony, so be sure to purchase your regalia before April 4, 2025. You can order your regalia here and it will be shipped directly to your desired address.
  • Graduates must register with Tassel by April 18, 2025 to confirm their information for the ceremony.
  • Tickets are not required for the ceremony or for the post-ceremony reception, and there is no limit to the number of guests who may attend either event.

If you or your family members are traveling from out of town, please note the following:

Day of the Ceremony

Please join us for the 2025 KSAS Master’s Graduation Ceremony at Homewood Field. Information about parking and transportation to campus can be found on the JHU Commencement parking and transportation web page. Family and friends are welcome to share this moment from the Homewood Field stands, or to watch the live-streamed ceremony online.

Ralph S. O'Connor Center for Recreation and Well-Being

At 5 p.m. on Monday, May 19, you will join your fellow graduates for robing and line-up at the Ralph S. O’Connor Recreation Center, located next door to Homewood Field.

You will need to bring your regalia and we encourage comfortable footwear as you will be walking on turf and uneven walkways. Plan to carry only your essential items, such as a wallet or mobile phone, as you will not be able to leave personal belongings in the robing area.

The procession onto Homewood Field will start at 6:30 p.m., leading into the formal start of the graduation ceremony at 7 p.m.

During the ceremony, you will hear from university leaders, with a main address delivered by our keynote speaker, who will be announced later this spring. Afterward, graduates will be called alphabetically by degree program and will walk across the stage to be congratulated by Christopher S. Celenza, James B. Knapp Dean, Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.

The graduation ceremony will last until approximately 9 p.m.

ADA parking is available at the following locations:

  • San Martin Center Garage
  • South Garage (opposite side of campus)
  • Random on-street parking near Homewood Field

There will be shuttles running from the San Martin Center Garage and South Garage to Homewood Field starting at 5:30 p.m. and then return trips for an hour following the graduation ceremony.

ADA Seating for Graduates

Graduates who require seating accommodations for the ceremony should reach out to AAP Disability Services to discuss accommodation needs for seating arrangements to be made for graduates. Graduates are seated strategically by program and name, so any seating arrangements should be requested as soon as possible.

After the Ceremony

Immediately following the graduation ceremony, you are invited to attend a celebratory reception on Keyser Quad, which is just a short walk from Homewood Field and is located in front of the iconic Gilman Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your guests to mingle with your fellow graduates and commemorate the completion of your degree.

Keyser Quad Reception

Diplomas will be mailed to all spring-term graduates later in the summer, once all degrees are reviewed. You do not need to attend the KSAS Master’s Graduation Ceremony or the JHU university-wide commencement in order to receive your diploma. If you have additional questions about your diploma, please email [email protected].
