Mr. Vrabel has been an independent consultant supporting the Department of Defense and the US Intelligence Community for more than 17 years. He currently supports the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as the Chief Image Scientist of their Image Quality and Utility Division. Additionally, he has supported NGA’s Research Directorate by implementing and managing more than 50 R&D agreements with Industry and Academia, including R&D with numerous commercial satellite imaging providers and geospatial software developers. As a consultant, Mr. Vrabel has also supported geospatial R&D projects with other government agencies such as the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, NASA, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the National Ground Intelligence Center. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, he supported performed image science work for a variety of government (defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies), industry, and academic clients.

Mr. Vrabel has more than 15 geospatial-related publications in the areas of hyperspectral imagery, multispectral imagery, image metrics, image quality, and various government R&D initiatives.
