Richardson holds a BS in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University, an MA in public communication and an MBA from American University. She completed certificate programs at Georgetown University (advanced legislative process), Towson University (strategic public relations and integrated communications), University of Oxford (strategic leadership), and Harvard University (leadership, ethics, and corporate accountability).
