Xuguang Simon Sheng
Lecturer
At Johns Hopkins, Xuguang Simon Sheng is a lecturer for the MS in Applied Economics program.
Sheng is also a professor of economics at American University. His research interests include time series econometrics, machine learning, monetary policy, fiscal policy, forecasting, measuring uncertainty, and survey expectations.
He has published in Journal of Econometrics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Oxford Handbook of Economic Forecasting.
Sheng is a recipient of the Isaac Kerstenetzky Award and the Heinz König Young Scholar Award. He has served as an associate editor for International Journal of Forecasting and Oxford Open Economics and as a co-organizer of eight international conferences.
