Gloria Gonzalez

Dr. Gloria González teaches the online courses: Family in Cross Cultural Perspective; Gender and Media; America’s Cultural Diversity: History of Race and Ethnicity in the United States. Dr. Gonzalez earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. Gloria’s areas of expertise include race/ethnicity, gender, social inequity, program evaluation, and equity and inclusion.
Gloria’s work focuses on reducing racial and gender inequities in the areas of education, workforce, and health. As the Founder and CEO of Gonzalez Consulting, Dr. González helps organizations and individuals apply a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens in organizational strategy, change management, and leadership development. Gloria also provides culturally responsive and equitable evaluation in design, study planning, data collection, and analysis using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodology. As a leadership coach, Dr. González provides coaching to individuals within the academic, federal government, non-profit, and private sectors. As a coach, she specializes in: emerging and mid-career professionals; career change; life transitions; diversity, equity, and inclusion; wellness.
