Luis Mejia

At Johns Hopkins, Luis Mejia is a lecturer for the MS in Applied Economics program.
Mejia is a credit risk policy and capital expert with more than twenty years of financial modeling experience, extensive housing and mortgage markets knowledge, and demonstrated management and communication skills. He manages the multifamily risk analytics function at the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Office of Multifamily Analytics and Policy. Before joining FHFA, Mejia was director of U.S. multifamily research for the CoStar Group. He was formerly with Fannie Mae for more than ten years. In his last role at Fannie Mae, Mejia was a director of multifamily credit risk research in the company’s modeling and analytics division.
In addition to his role at Johns Hopkins, Mejia has taught Finance and Financial Econometrics courses for the MS in Finance program at George Washington University.
Mejia received a PhD and MBA from George Washington University.
