Kellie Cummings
Lecturer
At Johns Hopkins, Kellie Cummings serves as a lecturer in the MA in Communication program, drawing on her 25 years of experience in brand and strategic communications.
Her work in communication campaigns, program marketing, and brand strategy has earned seven awards, including the Platinum MarCom Award for her communication leadership at T. Rowe Price during the global financial crisis. Her clients have included The White House Office of Management and Budget, TD Ameritrade, Showtime Network, and Comcast. Cummings is now the Founder and CEO of Anchor Relationships®, a research and assessment company that helps leaders understand how workplace relationships build the capacity to perform under pressure. The company grew out of her fellowship with the Center for Positive Leadership at the University of Louisville’s College of Business.
Cummings earned a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her writing on trust, leadership, and well-being has appeared in The Washington Post, HuffPost, TriplePundit, Reuters Sustainable Business, and the Association for Talent Development. In 2011, she earned accreditation from the International Association of Business Communicators, and she has presented twice at its World Conference. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity Washington University, she earned her BA in French with a minor in International Studies.
