A native of Arlington, Texas, Ms. Suber is an alumnus of the University of Houston with a BBA in Management Information Systems. She is the owner and strategist for S. Suber Consulting Group, LLC where she is a nonprofit business consultant with an emphasis on arts and culture. She has consulted and worked for companies and nonprofits such as NASA – Johnson Space Center, Natural Resources Defense Council, (NRDC), AFS-USA, Susan G. Komen, and Project Row Houses. She was appointed as the CEO of the Houston Museum of African American Culture and currently works in senior leadership at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) as the Director of Strategic Resources. She has done graduate studies in the Master of Arts program at Columbia University and interned at the Schomburg Center in Harlem as well as Urban Bush Women in New York.

Ms. Suber has been a trusted thought partner and creative financial/business professional with over 15 years of experience between nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors. She has a diverse background in business and sustainability planning with a passion for community development and performing and visual arts. She is deeply committed to social change work and innovation from its simplest form. She is the wife of Anthony Suber, artist and educator, and mother of two daughters, Channing and Ellington Rose. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
