The Center for Liberal Arts

At Johns Hopkins University’s Advanced Academic Programs

The Johns Hopkins University has a long, proud tradition of providing a distinguished Liberal Arts curriculum for students who are driven to continue their education. As a testament to this tradition, Johns Hopkins has established The Center for Liberal Arts to house its three flagship Liberal Arts programs:

Master of Liberal Arts – A part-time, credited degree program for adults

Odyssey – A non-credit Liberal Arts program for adults

Evergreen Society – A non-credit Liberal Arts society for retirees

Liberal Arts are essential to the fabric of society – promoting a greater understanding of the arts, politics, science, rhetoric, mathematics, and more. Through The Center for Liberal Arts, Johns Hopkins ensures that students with different educational needs and goals have an opportunity to study at an elite institution and enhance their understanding of the world around them.

In addition to housing these academic programs, The Center and its staff will engage the surrounding communities and look for ways to bring them into the Hopkins family through free lectures, discussions, tours, concerts, and other educational opportunities. It’s a way for Johns Hopkins to give back to the community.
