Mark J. Drozdowski, EdD, is a writer, educator, and communications consultant with more than three decades of experience in higher education. He has held senior leadership positions at numerous colleges and universities and has consulted with a wide range of nonprofit organizations.

A former columnist for The Chronicle of Higher Education and Inside Higher Ed, Mark has written articles, essays, op-eds, advertorials and humor for dozens of publications and websites. He is the author of A Peculiar Calling: Confessions of a College Fund Raiser (iUniverse, 2008) and The Insider’s Guide to Graduate Programs in Education (Simon & Schuster, 1997) and is a senior writer with BestColleges.

Mark has taught writing, communications, fundraising and higher education at several universities and is a lecturer in the MA in Communication program at Johns Hopkins University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree and doctorate from Harvard University.
