Kim Sloan is in her 27th year of teaching alternative populations and her 19th year of teaching graduate level classes in literacy. She is a Teacher-Consultant for the Northern Virginia Writing Project, a literacy professor, and a doctoral candidate pursuing a degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research interests are in teacher professional development, alternative teaching, and teaching reluctant writers.
