Dr. Parker is a physician specializing in the health impacts of energy and global environmental change, especially climate change. She was on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the Dept. of Environmental Health & Engineering and enjoyed teaching and interacting with students. She co-directed the Program on Global Sustainability and Health.

Dr. Parker received her MD from the University of Arizona and her Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She practiced Family Medicine in the wilds of New Mexico and Alaska before doing a second residency in Preventive Medicine and then joining the faculty at Johns Hopkins. She is board certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine.
