Join us as National Geographic Chief Cartographer Martin Gamache shares the process of creating cartographic masterpieces by integrating classic natural history photography with advanced scientific imaging techniques.

These works narrate stories – from the experiences of individual NatGeo explorers to the intricate intersections of our physical world, from human observations of wildlife to expansive three-dimensional, vibrantly colored landscapes – that exceed the capabilities of the human eye. Martin will present the methods that have been employed during the Environmental Science Research Institute (Esri) User Conference to support National Geographic explorers, including Jeff Kerby, Steve Boyes, and Ronan Donavan.
