Robert P. Haffa, Jr.
Dr. Robert Haffa retired from the U.S. Air Force in the rank of Colonel after flying assignments in the F-4 aircraft in Vietnam, England, and the Republic of Korea, and acting as Head of the Department of Political Science at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Following his retirement, Dr. Haffa joined the Northrop Grumman Corporation as Director of the corporate Analysis Center, assessing U.S. military strategy and force planning for the company’s business sectors, and retiring from Northop in 2010. Haffa’s research focuses on American nuclear, conventional, and irregular defense policy and force planning. He holds a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an M.A. from Georgetown University, and a Ph.D. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
