Situated in Baltimore, MD, the beautiful and sprawling Homewood campus is home to Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. The administrative office for the Center for Biotechnology Education is located on the 6th floor of the Wyman Park Building on the Homewood campus in Baltimore, MD. This office space provides an ideal location to coordinate the Center’s initiatives, and to network with senior administrators and faculty on the Homewood campus.

Students learn the technical skills required to be competitive in this dynamic field of biotechnology. The laboratory is equipped with:
- High throughput liquid handling robots
- 1 high throughput nucleic acid isolation robot
- Numerous thermocycling machines, including real-time capability.
- Various electrophoretic devices for nucleic acid and protein analyses
The lab is equipped with a variety of spectrophotometers, a capillary electrophoresis unit for DNA and protein analysis, a computerized gel image analyzer, cell culture fermentation units and more. The Center’s lab has an adjoining cell culture suite with biological-safety cabinets, incubators, freezers, and refrigerators. In addition, the suite contains:
- Inverted microscopes
- Biosafety cabinets
- An Olympus IX70 fluorescence microscope
