Susan Allen, Adjunct Faculty
Dr. Susan Allen has been active in communication practice and academic communication since she began her PhD studies at the University of Maryland in 2005. She has conducted primary research in intercultural communication, health communication, negotiation, persuasion in terrorist media messages, public relations activities of civil rights organizations, and conflict resolution management.
Susan is an active board member of several professional communication organizations, including the Public Relations Society of American where she served as a chapter president in Maryland. Susan has taught at universities in Ireland and Madagascar. She began teaching courses in the JHU AAP Communication Department in 2010.
Susan completed her PhD in Communication in 2014 (University of Maryland) and has also earned the MEd in Education (University of Vermont), the MA in Humanities and the BA in English (Arizona State University).
